Shawnee State University introduces new Certificate in Deafblindness Education | Shawnee State

Shawnee State University’s School of Education has introduced a new graduate level certificate in Deafblindness Education to begin in Fall 2024. The 15-credit hour program provides in-depth knowledge of needs and support for children with combined hearing-vision loss and is aligned with CEC standards for Deafblindness.

Apply by July 15

The coursework will emphasize current issues and trends, communication, evaluation, teaching strategies, and future planning for students diagnosed with Deafblindness. Offered completely online, the program is designed to be completed in one year and coursework will be delivered asynchronously with set virtual meetings each semester.
