How do I get an exception to stay past Closing or stay over Winter Break?
All students requesting to stay past closing or over winter break must complete the Stay Past Closing Form by Monday, December 9th, at 5:00 PM. You should receive an email about the status of your request no later than December 11th, at 5:00 PM. Winter Break - Stay Past Closing Form
*If you stay in your apartment past the campus housing closing date without approval, your student account will be charged a daily rate for each additional day, and you may face disciplinary action.
When do I need to be back?
University housing will re-open on Sunday, January 12th, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Your RA will be in their room between the hours of 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM to re-distribute keys.
**All students must be registered for classes with current billing for Spring semester in order to receive their residence hall keys.
How do I get an exception for early arrival?
If you need to check-in before Sunday, January 12th, you must complete the Request for Early Arrival Form - Spring 2025 by Monday, January 6th, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Submitting your request does not guarantee approval; you will receive an email regarding the status of your request by January 8th at 5:00 PM.
I’m not returning to Shawnee State after this semester. What do I need to do?
You will need to check out of your room completely on or before Friday, December 13th, 2024. Please complete the Petition for Housing Contract Release and provide any documentation that supports your request.
