Graduate School Mission Statement

Shawnee State University - the regional state university for Southern Ohio - prepares graduate students for the changing needs of health care, education, business, industry, and other aspects of society through its graduate degree programs. Recognizing the importance of knowledge, values, research, and cultural enrichment, Shawnee State University is committed to providing graduate education that facilitates students to become independent, life-long learners while teaching students advanced skills in thinking critically, acting ethically, and communicating effectively.
