Office of General Counsel
The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice to and representation for Shawnee State University. The Office is responsible for the coordination and supervision of all legal matters involving:
- Shawnee State University;
- Shawnee State University Board of Trustees; and,
- Officers and employees acting on behalf of the University
The Office is responsible for providing legal services in such diverse areas as employment, student affairs, contracts, real estate, administrative law, immigration and intellectual property. The Office also provides training programs in areas such as Ethics, FERPA, Employment law issues such as FLSA, FMLA and ADA, Intellectual Property and other areas.
