Licensure Testing

Prior to student teaching, candidates must pass the special education content exam in their licensure area (Test # 043 for MAIS majors). Prior to being recommended for licensure, intervention specialists must also pass Foundations of Reading (090), and Assessment of Professional Knowledge: Multi-Age (PreK-12; test 004).

The passing score for all licensure examinations is 220.

Note: Not all testing sites are equipped to provide alternative testing arrangements. If you are entitled to testing accommodations, it is highly recommended that you register early (at least 3 weeks). For more information, contact the Accessibility Services Coordinator, phone (740) 351-3106.
