Ohio Manufacturing Workforce Partnership

In June 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) awarded $12 million to Lorain County Community College, an applicant in collaboration with Ohio TechNet and The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, collectively known as the Ohio Manufacturing Workforce Partnership. The funding will play a vital role in helping Ohio address the workforce shortage and skills gap affecting manufacturing.

Through this grant, Shawnee State University is a sub-awardee to Building Bridges to Careers (located in Marietta) to perform employer outreach to develop and expand apprenticeships in south central and southeastern Ohio.

Employers interested in more information about this partnership should call Jack Everson at (740) 701-7718 or email jeverson@shawnee.edu.
