Students will be prepared for a variety of career opportunities, including as a software developer, computer or systems analyst, or data scientist. Students are also prepared for further education in master’s or doctoral programs expanding career options.

The U.S. Department of Labor projects jobs in the Computer Science industry will have a faster-than-average projected growth (>8%) in the U.S. in the next decade. Defined as a “New & Emerging” operation, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 100,000 or more job openings in between now and 2031.

Be Prepared for your Future

Computer Science majors complete a wide variety of courses in computing, mathematics, science, and the humanities. CS majors will take several courses in different areas of mathematics and can easily complete a minor in mathematics if they choose.

Median salary is $136,620 per year.
