Shawnee State University has announced the 23rd annual Shawnee Game Conference (SGC) will be held on campus, Nov. 1 & 2, 2024. The longest-running academic game conference in the Midwest, SGC continues its tradition of fostering innovation and creativity in the gaming industry.
Featuring sessions hosted by industry professionals, interactive exhibitions by gaming studios, and hands-on exhibits hosted by current SSU gaming students, SGC brings together gaming enthusiasts of all ages for a two-day look into the ever-evolving world of gaming.
This year’s SGC offers attendees admission tickets as one- or two-day passes, including general admission and SSU student admission. General Admission tickets are available for $50.00 for a two-day pass and $30.00 for a one-day pass. SSU students can purchase a two-day pass for $20.00 and a one-day pass for $10.00 with proof of their student ID. Conference passes allow participants to attend a wide range of workshops and sessions featuring industry experts and faculty, engage with showcased games and projects on the exhibition floor, and see SSU’s Esports student-athletes in action. High school groups wishing to attend the Gaming Introduction track of the conference can learn more by contacting the SSU Office of Admission at shawnee.edu/visit.
SGC is also accepting applications for Session Speakers and Exhibitors for the Expo Floor. Applications for both should be received by Sept. 15 and can be completed on the conference website or by contacting Conference Coordinator Amanda Hedrick at ahedrick@shawnee.edu.
