Shawnee State University’s Office of Military & Veteran Services invites the public to attend Veteran’s Day activities held on campus on Thursday, Nov. 9. With Veteran Displays set up in the Morris University Center lobbies starting at 10 a.m., the annual Veteran’s Recognition Ceremony will take place beginning at 12 p.m. in the Morris University Center Ballroom.
This year’s recognition ceremony will feature a welcome from Brian Caudill, SSU Coordinator of Veteran & Military Student Services, and Eric Braun, SSU President, followed by an invocation by Kenny Estep, the Presentation of Colors by American Legion Posts 622/363, a performance by Portsmouth West High School Choir, and a message from guest speaker Ohio Senator Terry Johnson. Free lunch will be available in the Bear’s Den cafeteria for those veterans in attendance.
