Shawnee State University’s Vern Riffe Center for the Arts (VRCFA) welcomes the Broadway musical “The Cher Show” on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024. The performance starting at 7:30 p.m., will be held in the Eloise Covert Smith Theater of the VRCFA.
Superstars come and go — Cher is forever. For six straight decades, only one unstoppable force has flat-out dominated popular culture by breaking down barriers, pushing boundaries, and letting nothing and no one stand in her way. “The Cher Show” is the Tony Award-winning musical of her story and it’s packed with so much Cher that it takes three women to play her — the kid starting out, the glam pop star, and the icon.
“The Cher Show” is 35 smash hits, six decades of stardom, two rock-star husbands, a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy, and enough Tony Award-winning Bob Mackie gowns to cause a sequin shortage in New York City, all in one unabashedly fabulous new musical that will have you dancing in the aisles.
Tickets for “The Cher Show” are available online at vrcfa.com or at the McKinley Box Office in the VRCFA, Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased via telephone call at (740) 351-3600. Ticket prices for the show are $69.00 for Standard, $64.00 for Seniors, and $55.00 for those 18 & under. Handicap-accessible seating is available upon request.
