Shawnee State University will host its annual Festival of Faculty Achievement virtually starting Tuesday, Mar. 8.

Shawnee State University’s two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program is available to students in southwestern Ohio through a dual enrollment partnership with Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio.

Current SSU student Samantha McLaughlin came into the education field after transferring from another university where she received a bachelor’s degree in Art History, English, and Latin. Her previous institution did not offer a teaching licensure program like the one she found at SSU.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Shawnee State University senior Avery Booth chose to pursue nursing as her career.

Shawnee State University senior Jacob Kielmar participated in the university’s Celebration of Scholarship (COS) conference last year, sharing information he had studied in the Biomedical Sciences program on campus.
