Shawnee State University professor Dr. Nicholas Meriwether will present an analysis of critical race theory on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30 pm in Massie Hall, Room 020.
During the presentation, Dr. Meriwether, SSU Professor of Philosophy, and Dr. Chip Poirot, SSU Professor of Economics, will discuss the impact of critical race theory on American education and society. Dr. Meriwether will present a critique on the theory, while Dr. Poirot will respond to the presented critiques. Following Dr. Poirot’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for discussion from those in attendance.
The discussion is open to the campus and local community to attend.
