Shawnee State University Development Foundation has announced the hiring of Jessica McCallister as the university’s new Assistant Director of Annual Giving. A 2014 alumna of the SSU Business Administration program, McCallister is a Portsmouth native and graduate of Sciotoville Community School.

“I am really looking forward to engaging and working with the past, present, and future supporters of SSU,” said McCallister. “They share a common vision in providing opportunities to our students and our community, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with them all.”

McCallister returns to SSU with a wealth of experience in community engagement, including as a member of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce Events Committee, ECDI Advisory Board, and Ascend where she also serves as the treasurer on the board. Professionally, she has experience in banking where she most recently served as the Branch Manager of two Peoples Bank locations.
