SSU’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre offers creative opportunities as well as a grounding in liberal arts study. The program is designed to develop the professional skills required of musical theatre artists while also providing a comprehensive academic foundation. In their coursework, students will refine their music, dance, vocal, and acting skills to attain the performance levels required for a professional audition or admission into a graduate program.

“The Musical Theatre program at SSU is an immersive training program that offers so many performance opportunities,” said Summer Logan, Professor of Theatre at SSU. “Students can find themselves onstage up to six times a year working alongside professional faculty and world-renowned guest artists.”

To be considered for an upcoming audition, interested students should make sure their application to the university has been completed – including requesting official transcripts and ACT or SAT score results to be sent to the Office of Admission. Students can request an audition by filling out the online audition form. Interested students should also bring two recommendation forms with them to their scheduled audition time.
