Shawnee State University’s Office of Workforce Development is partnering with the Ohio Highway Safety Patrol and Portsmouth Ambulance to host an Emergency Responder Community Career Fair on Thursday, Jul. 28 on campus. The career fair will be held in the Morris University Center and will begin at 12 p.m. and last until 2 p.m.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to learn more about job openings and trainings available for security and police officers, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and firefighters. Registration is not required for attendees and admission is free. SSU will also be offering information about degrees that can help advance careers in those fields – including the university’s new degree in Criminal Justice and two-year Paramedic/EMT degree.
