Shawnee State University’s Office of Admission has announced New Student Orientation dates for those students enrolling to the university in the Autumn 2022 semester.
“Orientation is a student’s first official act as a college student,” Brittany Bazler, SSU’s Assistant Director of Campus Programming said. “To ease the transition, we offer programming for both students and families to prepare them for campus life. By the end of a student’s orientation day, they should feel like they belong and are officially part of the SSU community.”
Students participating in New Student Orientation will meet with university President Jeff Bauer as well as their academic Deans throughout the day. They will also receive their first semester schedule and SSU Bear Card student ID and meet with an academic advisor. For those parents in attendance, information sessions will be offered as well as additional campus and housing tours.
Orientation 2022 sessions will be held on-campus Apr. 23, May 7, Jun. 4, Jun. 7, Jun. 9, Jul. 20, and Jul. 22. Registration and additional information about the New Student Orientation process can be found online at shawnee.edu/orientation.
