The Shawnee State University Performing Arts Academy (PAA) is accepting new registrations for its fall classes at upcoming Open House events on Jul. 18 at 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Jul. 22 at 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the lobby of the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts. During the event, parents and students can meet with faculty, tour the facility, and learn more about the classes offered. Offered on SSU’s campus, PAA classes give instruction to musicians, dancers, and actors.

PAA classes are available for ages 3-18 in various classes including ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, acrodance, popfunk, creative movement, musical theatre, piano, and guitar. The PAA teaches specific certified curriculum including the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum and Acrobatic Arts Syllabus with certified instructors. The program is also a member of the Ohio Dance Masters and National Dance Education Organization, and has professional instructors teaching each of its courses.
