The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts (VRCFA) at Shawnee State University will host Broadway’s “Shrek, The Musical” on Thursday, Oct. 17. The show, held in the Eloise Covert Smith Theater of the VRCFA, will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Bringing ‘ogre-sized’ family fun, the greatest fairy tale ‘never told” comes to life in a whole new way in a breathtaking Broadway musical adaptation of the hit movie Shrek. It’s the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and feisty princess who resists her rescue. With all-new original direction and choreography by Danny Mefford (whose works include Dear Evan Hansen), this reimagined production brings the show back to its roots – giving it a new kind of love emphasizing the importance of loving ourselves and one another.
Tickets for “Shrek, The Musical” are available $70.00 for Standard, $67.00 for Seniors, and $60.00 for 18 & Under. All tickets can be purchased at the McKinley Box Office in-person, Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., or over the phone at (740) 351-3600.
