Shawnee State University will be offering a series of Motorcycle Ohio Basic Rider Safety Courses on campus. The courses include both classroom and motorcycle range instruction. The first course will be offered on Oct. 30-31.

The class session will be held within the Morris University Center located on the east side of SSU’s campus. Students must present a valid Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC) on the first day of class for the Basic Rider Skills. The riding sessions will be held in lot A7 adjacent to the Morris University Center. All sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and students should arrive 15-20 minutes early.

All students must pay a $50.00 non-refundable registration fee. Students may transfer to another class or assign their class to someone else if they are unable to attend. Participants should provide and wear appropriate clothing/gear for all motorcycle sessions including long pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket, full-finger gloves, eye protection, study boots to completely cover and protect ankle, and a Department of Ohio Transportation approved helmet are encouraged.
