Shawnee State University Housing has been ranked among the best college dorms in the nation, according to Niche Best Colleges 2024. Ranked in the top 10% in the nation, SSU housing has also been ranked #4 for Best College Dorms in Ohio.
“Being acknowledged by a respected organization like Niche emphasizes the distinctive housing experience we offer to our students,” said SSU Chief Enrollment Officer, Jim Farmer. “By providing a comfortable and conducive living environment to our students, Shawnee State fosters a vibrant community where students can thrive academically and personally, further enhancing their college experience and overall well-being."
SSU’s Housing & Residence Life offers students apartment-style housing units – complete with fully-equipped kitchens, living rooms, dining areas, bathrooms, bedrooms, and on-site laundry facilities. The university offers six different apartment complexes to choose from, each with their own floor plans. All university housing buildings are staffed with Resident Assistants, helping to mentor and guide housing students during their time on campus.
