Shawnee State University recently began displaying “The Dancer” in the Selby Lobby of the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts. The art piece, created by students at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Ohio, is made up of collaged tickets from performances held in the VRCFA.

The piece was started in 2019 by students Portsmouth High School’s Art and the Community course and was finished earlier this year. Over twenty-five students collaborated on the piece’s creation which is painted in a sepia ink wash.

“The Dancer” is currently on display in the Selby Lobby of the VRCFA for the campus and surrounding community to view.
