Learn how to teach English to multilingual learners — at home or abroad — and earn coursework toward Ohio TESOL licensure in the process.
Why add a TESOL Minor at Shawnee State
Builds a working foundation in linguistics, second-language pedagogy, and a second language — the three legs of TESOL teaching.
Fulfills part of the coursework required for Ohio TESOL licensure (consult the Department of Teacher Education for full licensure requirements).
Useful if you plan to teach in U.S. classrooms with multilingual learners, teach English abroad, or work with multilingual communities through nonprofit and social services work.
