About the English & Humanities Department

The Department of English and Humanities develops students' ability to think, read, write and analyze the world around them. Our small class sizes and student-centered faculty help shape students into tomorrow's professionals in business, corporate communication, education, journalism, library science, publishing and technical writing.
Careers
Our Bachelor of Arts degree in English alumni go on to have fulfilling careers that span a variety of industries. Some become educators, work in media relations, or choose careers in both traditional and digital media as staff writers or reporters. Our graduates are also employed in a myriad of other industries, from finance, marketing, and manufacturing to health care administration.
