(Students currently completing PreK entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2026)
Heading to kindergarten this fall? Then head here first! Our Hop Into Kindergarten class is a fun-filled week of readiness activities designed especially for incoming kindergartners. We’ll hold a mini kindergarten day complete with a morning meeting, writing, math games, read-a-loud stories, recess, science experiments and more. This class is a great way to gain confidence and get excited about the coming school year! Open to any children going into kindergarten (at any school).

A little bit of this, a little bit of that and a whole lot of FUN! Students will experience a myriad of activities designed to bust summer boredom all themed around amazing storybooks. Combining many activities and themes, the K class gives your child a chance to experience some of the best we have to offer at Cub Camp- math, science, literacy, and more!
Class Descriptions
Session I
Twist, Tie, and Dye! (Grades 1-3)
In this fun, hands-on class, kids will learn the basics of tie-dyeing while creating
bright, one-of-a-kind designs. We’ll explore simple folding and tying techniques,
mix bold colors, and watch plain fabric turn into wearable art. Each participant will
work on several exciting projects.
No experience needed—just bring your imagination and be ready to get colorful!
Cheerleading Champs! (Grades 1-3)
Learn how to be a cheerleader and become the ultimate crowd leader at your school!
Participants will learn exciting, crowd-effective sidelines, cheers, and band chants
while building confidence and spirit. Campers will create game-day excitement using
pom- poms, signs, and proper spiriting techniques. Training will include motions,
voice inflection, jumps, and an introduction to crowd-effective stunts. Cheerleaders
will wrap up the week ready to perform for the Cub Camp audience!
Wheel-Throwing Ceramics (Grades 4–5)
Campers will discover the magic of the potter’s wheel in this beginner-friendly ceramics
class! Students will learn how to center clay, shape it on the wheel, and create simple
pieces like cups, bowls, or small vases. No prior experience is needed—just a sense
of curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy! This hands-on class helps campers
build fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and confidence as they learn a new
art form. Each student will have the chance to make one or more projects to take home
after they’re fired and glazed. Creativity, fun, and exploration are the focus—there’s
no “perfect” piece, just a lot of learning and playing with clay. All materials and
tools are provided, and instruction is adapted for different skill levels. Limit 14

Game Design with Godot (Grades 4–5)
In this hands-on class, students will learn how to design and build their own 2D computer
games using Godot, a powerful and beginner-friendly game engine used by real game
developers around the world. Students will start from scratch and explore the basics
of game design, including characters, levels, movement, and simple game logic. Along
the way, they’ll practice problem-solving, creativity, and computational thinking
while turning their ideas into playable games. Godot is free, open-source, and easy
to learn, making it a perfect introduction to game development for younger students.
No prior coding experience is required — just curiosity and a love of games! By the
end of the class, students will have created their own playable 2D game and gained
confidence using professional-quality tools to bring their ideas to life. To get the
most out of this class, students should be somewhat comfortable reading and typing
on keyboard, and using a traditional PC. Prior programming experience is NOT necessary.
Beginning Painting (Grades 6–8)
Campers will dive into the colorful world of painting in this beginner-friendly class
designed just for grades 6–8. Students will learn basic painting techniques, explore
color mixing, and experiment with brushes, textures, and simple compositions. No prior
experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to try! Throughout the session,
campers will create one or more original paintings to take home while building confidence
in their artistic abilities. The focus is on creativity, self-expression, and having
fun rather than perfection. This class encourages kids to learn art fundamentals,
and enjoy the process of painting. All supplies are provided, and instruction is adapted
to different skill levels.
Spanish Explorers (Grades 6-8)
Ready to start speaking a new language? This beginner Spanish course introduces students
in grades 4–8 to Spanish in an interactive, low-pressure, and engaging way. Through
games, conversations, cultural activities, and creative projects, students will build
a strong foundation in basic Spanish vocabulary and phrases. Campers will practice
greetings, numbers, colors, food, family, and everyday expressions, while developing
confidence in listening, speaking, and pronunciation. Activities are designed to encourage
participation, teamwork, and real-world communication—no memorization drills required.
No previous Spanish experience is necessary.
First Aid Heroes (Grades 6–8)
Ready to become a real-life hero? In this exciting and hands-on First Aid class, students
in grades 6–8 will learn the essential skills needed to respond confidently in emergencies
at home, at school, or in their community. Throughout the week, campers will learn
how to: • Treat cuts, scrapes, and minor wounds • Care for sprains and strains • Help
someone who is choking • Perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) • Properly use
an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) This course follows the guidelines of the
American Heart Association. By the end of the class, students will earn their Heartsaver®
K-12 CPR AED Course Completion Card, a nationally recognized certification that demonstrates
their lifesaving knowledge and skills. Through interactive practice, team scenarios,
and real-world simulations, campers will build confidence, responsibility, and leadership
skills—all while having fun in a supportive environment. No prior experience needed—just
a willingness to learn and help others! Be prepared. Be confident. Be a lifesaver.
Tech Zoo (Grades 6-8)
In this exciting, hands-on class, campers will explore a new technology adventure
every day! From driving remote-control robots to building simple circuits and trying
beginner-friendly coding activities, students will get the chance to experiment, create,
and discover how technology works. Each session introduces a different tech experience,
giving campers the opportunity to solve problems, think creatively, and build confidence
while learning new skills. Whether they’re programming a sequence, powering up a circuit,
or navigating a robot through a challenge, campers will be actively engaged and having
fun.
Session II
Storytime Adventure (Grades 1-3)
Students will embark on a storytelling journey, learning how to write and illustrate
their own books. They’ll start by brainstorming characters and settings, then move
on to creating their plot and illustrations. With guided support, each child will
create their own storybook, combining their imagination with writing and drawing skills.
By the end of the course, they’ll have a completed book to take home and share with
family and friends!
Beginner Spanish Adventures (Grades 1–3)
¡Hola! Join us for a fun-filled week of Spanish exploration designed especially for
young learners. In this beginner-friendly class, students in grades 1–3 will be introduced
to Spanish through songs, games, stories, movement, and hands-on activities. Campers
will learn simple words and phrases they can use right away—like greetings, colors,
numbers, animals, and everyday expressions—while building confidence in listening
and speaking. No prior Spanish experience is needed! Each day is packed with playful
activities that keep kids engaged and learning without pressure. By the end of the
week, students will be excited to say ¡Hola! and show off their new Spanish skills.
Tech Zoo (grades 1-3)
In this exciting, hands-on class, campers will explore a new technology adventure
every day! From driving remote-control robots to building simple circuits and trying
beginner-friendly coding activities, students will get the chance to experiment, create,
and discover how technology works. Each session introduces a different tech experience,
giving campers the opportunity to solve problems, think creatively, and build confidence
while learning new skills. Whether they’re programming a sequence, powering up a circuit,
or navigating a robot through a challenge, campers will be actively engaged and having
fun.

Adventure Awaits: National Parks (Grades 4-5)
Pack your imagination and get ready to explore! Our National Parks Adventure takes
students on a fun-filled journey through America’s national parks using hands-on art,
exciting history, interactive geography, cool science experiments, and trail mix making
skills. Campers create nature-inspired art every day and discover the stories behind
our national parks, including Indigenous cultures, early explorers, and park rangers
who protect these special places—through storytelling, games, and creative activities.
Campers “travel” across the United States by locating national parks on maps and globes.
They learn about deserts, forests, mountains, rivers, and volcanoes while building
simple landform models and park maps. Each day features exciting, kid-friendly science
activities inspired by the parks—volcano experiments, rock and mineral exploration,
plant studies, and weather investigations. Campers learn how hikers fuel their adventures
by creating their own trail mix with foods native to each park! Kids explore food
groups, learn where ingredients come from, and mix their own snack to enjoy and take
home.

Slime Science: A Hands-On Creative Class (Grades 1–3)
Welcome to Slime Science Lab! In this fun and interactive class designed especially
for students in Grades 1–3, young scientists will explore the exciting world of slime
by creating a variety of different types. Students will: • Mix and measure ingredients
• Explore colors and textures • Learn simple science concepts (liquids, solids, mixing,
reactions) • Practice following directions Each session focuses on hands-on learning,
sensory exploration, and creativity. Students can personalize their slime with colors,
sparkles, and fun mix-ins. All materials are child-safe and age-appropriate. Clear
instructions and close supervision ensure a safe and positive learning experience.
This class is perfect for curious, creative learners who love hands-on activities
and a little bit of messy fun!
Beginning Ceramics (Grades 1–3)

Run Your Own Farm: Agri-Business & Land Management (Grades 6–8)
Ever wondered what it takes to run a successful farm? In this hands-on, strategy-packed
session, students in grades 6–8 will step into the boots of a real farm owner—making
big decisions about animals, land, money, and risk! Campers will explore the exciting
world of agricultural entrepreneurship while learning how to manage a herd, build
smart business skills, assess risk, practice resource management and plan effective
land use. Students will work in teams to design and “run” their own model farms, making
real-world decisions and solving problems along the way. Through simulations, challenges,
and interactive activities, they’ll learn how agriculture blends science, math, economics,
and leadership. Think like a farmer. Plan like a CEO. Grow like a leader. * No animals

Dance, Dance, Dance (All grades)
Feel like a star in this trio of fun dance class featuring ballet, jazz, and hip-hop!
Dancers will learn the basics of ballet, be introduced to jazz techniques, and explore
more intricate choreography and movement through faster-paced hip-hop routines. Students
will have the exciting opportunity to perform a fun routine for the Cub Camp audience
on the final day of camp.
