Why Study Marketing, Bachelor of Science in Business at Shawnee University

You'll work on real client projects, not hypothetical ones. A required Marketing Practicum and at least five agency-style projects built into your core courses put you on actual marketing problems for regional businesses.

You'll graduate with a portfolio. That's the difference when you walk into a job interview — you can show what you've done, not just describe what you've studied.

The curriculum covers what hiring managers actually look for. Digital marketing, content creation, analytics, consumer behavior, and brand strategy are all in the core — not bolted on as electives.

You can shape the degree to fit your goals. Electives in sales, international marketing, and entrepreneurship let you specialize in the direction that fits where you want to go.

Tuition is among the lowest in Ohio. The Shawnee Advantage Tuition Guarantee keeps your rate flat for four years.

The Marketing B.S.B. includes 24 hours of business core, 30 hours of marketing core, three elective courses, and one technical elective. You'll cover the full marketing toolkit — strategy, content, analytics, and communications.

  • Business core (24 hours): Financial & Managerial Accounting, Marketing & Management Principles, Legal Environment of Business, Microeconomics & Macroeconomics, Communication & Development Skills
  • Marketing core (30 hours): Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communications & Content Creation, Marketing Management & Digital Management, Marketing Research & Analytics, Entrepreneurial Marketing, Marketing Practicum, Production & Operations Management
