The SSU Women's Forum was created in 2000 to “promote, advocate, educate, and support the women of Shawnee State University and the community at large.” The past years have been marked with great success and wonderful programming.
In the spring of 2006, one of the major goals of the Forum was achieved with the creation of a Women's Center in fall 2006. All programs traditionally sponsored by the Forum then became Women's Center offerings.
Any SSU faculty, staff member or student may join the Women’s Forum. As a Forum member, you will receive announcements of activities and initiatives sponsored by the Women's Center. You'll also be given the opportunity to become a part of those activities and take a leadership role in making them happen. SSU alumni may also become Forum members. What a great way to stay in contact with the University and the activities of interest to women after graduation!
