Online Learning Management
SSU utilizes The Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) for its virtual learning environment and course management system, developed by Blackboard Inc. It is a Web-based server software which features course management, a customizable open architecture, and scalable design that allows for integration with SSU’s enterprise administrative system - Jenzabar. ITS supports a single sign on authentication from the MySSU portal, so that students can easily access their course assignments, and to view their session grades. Faculty can access Blackboard from MySSU to manage their online course content.
ITS manages the Blackboard Learn architecture installed on SSU servers, ensuring that it continuously operates on the latest functional release. The Office of Instructional Technologies located in the Clark Memorial Library provides account management for students, course management administration and training for faculty users. They can be reached at (740) 351-3507 to answer questions you may have.
MySSU can be found at https://myssu.shawnee.edu/. Access to your account on Blackboard Learn can be accomplished by logging into your MySSU account and selecting the Blackboard link on the My Info tab for students, and from the Faculty CRM, for faculty users.
