Students who are undecided about their majors enter into Shawnee State's University College. The College focuses on general education, developmental education and academic support services aimed at helping students succeed in college, including improving their level of college-readiness.
The University College at Shawnee State University links students with academic and support services, providing a university-wide focus on efforts to improve course completion, student retention, and graduation rates.
Offered through the College are undergraduate degrees in Individualized Studies and General Studies. These programs are for students who want to tailor their educational programs to their own interests, needs, and goals. These degrees are not intended to prepare students for a specific career path. Students who are interested in pursuing an individualized or general study major are encouraged to seek academic advising prior to each term.
