Shawnee State University Engineering Technologies is taking manufacturing on the move with a new mobile education lab made possible by a grant through the Ohio Department of Higher Education's RAPIDS program.
Shawnee State will use this lab in partnership with the University of Rio Grande and Community College, Southern State Community College, Ohio University (Southern and Chillicothe campuses) and the Career Technical Centers of Scioto County, Pickaway-Ross, and Buckeye Hills.
The lab will be used across the region to promote the manufacturing industry and careers in southeast Ohio. This will include providing programmable logic controller training to students and workers along with classes in additive manufacturing.
