Welcome to Shawnee State University:

I am the Veterans Services Coordinator at Shawnee State University and your point of contact for access to a variety of services both on and off campus.  It is my goal to support your successful transition from military to civilian to college student by first assessing your specific needs, and then by coordinating services to help you address those needs.  I will work diligently to eliminate any barriers that you or your family may encounter in your important decision to enroll in college.   I hope that this web site will prove to be a valuable resource tool for you.  We at Shawnee State recognize and honor your sacrifices and value your life experiences.    

I would like to encourage every student veteran, whether active duty, National Guard or Reserve, new or returning student, to visit me as soon as you arrive on campus so that I might serve as a resource for you  Please feel free to call me at 351-3259 or email me at sgregory@shawnee.edu with any questions you may have or to set-up an appointment.  This will also give me an opportunity to tell you about the Student Veterans Association, established to help you and your family form relationships and share experiences with other veterans and their families.  I would also like to offer information to you about the Veterans Mentoring Program which connects new student veterans with current student veterans and faculty and staff who have military experience.  I am looking forward to working with you.
