Guest Accounts for Wireless Service
University Information Services can provide temporary guest accounts for individuals that will be on campus for a university associated activity and will need access to the wireless network managed by UIS. The departmental contact on campus for the individual(s) is responsible for downloading, completing and submitting the form as an email attachment. The form should be emailed to the following individuals: Help Desk; Dan White; and Jeff Blevings. Please note the form will only be accepted when provided by the departmental contact at Shawnee State. If the form is submitted by the guest(s) there will be no action taken on the request.
The one exception for completing this form is touring companies performing at the CFA. These companies will have access to a guest network that is only available in the CFA. If members of the company will be visiting other locations on campus the form must be submitted and temporary guest accounts created.
Individuals that have temporary guest accounts created will need to download and install Cisco Clean Access. For instructions for downloading and installing CCA, click here.
If there are any questions regarding the creation of temporary guest account for wireless service please contact the Help Desk.

Telephone and Internet Connectivity Services for External Events
Temporary connectivity for phone and internet access is available on the
Shawnee State University Campus to outside entities using the SSU facilities for
a specific event.
UIS will work to accommodate the needs of the customers; however, access may not
be available in all locations on campus.
Departments offering campus facility services to external entities must assess
the needs of the customer and then complete the
Telephone and Internet Service Request Form.
UIS will not be able to discuss any issues with external customers until the
Telephone and Internet Service Request Form has been completed and submitted to
the UIS at help_desk@shawnee.edu. This
informs UIS that the customer has been approved to hold an event on campus. To
ensure that services are completed on time, UIS must receive the request with a
minimum of 2 weeks notice.
A fee will be charged for each service provided as specified in the fee
structure below. UIS will not charge SSU Departments for connectivity unless the
department is charging an external for the function. In the event the external
is not being charged, UIS reserves the right to charge the external if it is
determined the event requires significant UIS resources. After hour
Technical/Network support services for external activities will always be
charged regardless of the association between an SSU department and an external
entity. An accounting of charges will always be communicated and agreed upon in
advance of the event.
In case of cancellation within 24 hours of the event, UIS reserves the right to
charge for any or all costs incurred.
