How to Contact the Ombudsperson
The current Shawnee State University student ombudsperson is Dr. John Whitaker. His office is Massie 416 and office phone is 740-351-3630. He can also be reached by e-mail at jwhitaker@shawnee.edu. As noted in the student handbook, students are welcome to contact the student ombudsperson about problems they encounter including staff/student conflict, grades, disciplinary procedures, course requirements, parking, financial aid, residence life, facilities, academic misconduct, or any of the many policies and procedures that are part of campus life.
