All tutoring is to be done in the Student Success Center with exceptions being made for specific courses that utilize software not found in the Success Center. Other special arrangements can be made by contacting Teresa Redoutey

Please notify the Student Success Center if you will be late or if there is a change in your schedule.

You should always check the Tutoring Bulletin Board for any cancellation notices or information regarding new tutees

Plan on bringing all pertinent information concerning the topic to be covered during your tutoring session. Also, bring a list of questions that you want the tutor to answer.
You should plan to study the entire scheduled time. After the tutoring session, sign the tutor's timesheet so the tutor will get paid for the session.

When arriving for your session please check the Tutoring Bulletin Board for any messages.

To schedule a tutor you simply stop by the Student Success Center and pick up a "Request to Tutor" card. After completing both sides of the card return it to the Success Center and a tutor will be assigned in a timely manner.

Make sure you keep the "Fact sheet for Tutees" you are handed to refer to from time to time. Especially note the "No-Show" policy.

After being assigned a tutor, you should exchange phone numbers in case canceling a session is necessary. If you are not comfortable in exchanging phone numbers just contact the Success Center for any cancellations.

Also, try to verify the meeting times with the tutor. This confirms that both parties are aware of the meeting times and allows any discrepancies to be worked out before tutoring starts.

If you decide that you no longer require the services of your tutor, please notify the tutor and the Student Success Center.

If you have any questions or concerns about your tutoring or if you are not satisfied with your tutor, please inform the Student Success Center staff. A new tutor can be assigned to you.
