The Security Officer's duties include:

Protection of the students, faculty, staff and visitors of Shawnee State University

Protection and security of Shawnee State University properties

Medical response to ill or injured persons

Alarm response (fire/smoke, burglary and panic)

Campus-oriented community policing

Emergency notifications                                

Criminal investigations

Crowd control

Escort Services

Campus patrol (vehicle, foot and bicycle)

Report writing (criminal and non-criminal incidents)
