Several incidents of theft have taken place at the Shawnee State University Athletic Center within the past couple weeks. These incidents have taken place at different times of the day and night. In most instances, the individual has left valuable items in unsecured lockers.

In an effort to reduce these types of incidents please follow these crime prevention tips:

1)     1)  Do not bring valuables in with you to workout.  Do not make yourself an easy target

2)     2)  Secure valuables in the trunk if possible or in residence hall or at home

3)     3)  Take advantage of the SSU Operation Identification program and borrow an engraver from the SSU Security Office to mark your valuables

4)     4)  Be aware of your surroundings. Notify SSU Security at 3232 or 3243 if you see suspicious activity on campus.
