Grading
Grade Reports
Shawnee State University does not mail student
grade reports at the end of each academic term. Students are
required to access their grades via their MySSU account.
Students may, if desired, print their own grade report from the
MySSU site. Also, the Office of the Registrar will, upon request,
produce a printed student grade report. Students with questions or
problems accessing grades should call (740) 351-3168 for assistance.
Overview of Grading
Students may view their grades for a specific term
by using their MySSU account and selecting the "Grades" option
on their Student menu. Please contact the Registrar within
30 days of the end of the term if you discover an error.
This section provides important information to both currently
enrolled students and alumni. Information on how to obtain a copy
of your grades, an official transcript, grading and awarding of
credit, and incomplete grades, is found here.
Awarding of Credit
Final grades are mailed at the end of each semester by the Office of
the Registrar. Grades will not be issued orally.

Transcripts
A
Shawnee State University transcript is the official record of a
student's enrollment at Shawnee State. Undergraduate and Graduate
transcripts are maintained separately, so when ordering please
specify which transcript type. There are three ways to order an
official transcript in person, by mail or fax.
Transcript fee
The transcript fee is
$10.00 per transcript effective August 27, 2007 regardless of how
they are sent. A rushed transcript (Express Mail) is an additional
$17.50 fee. Express Mail will not deliver to a
P.O. Box as the address.
Ordering
Transcripts in Person
You are
always welcome to visit us and request a transcript. Just come to
the Office of the Registrar located on the second floor of the
University Center, Room 230 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Complete a transcript request form and submit it
for processing at the front desk.
Ordering By Mail
or FAX
Transcript requests are normally processed within three business
days after receipt of the request. Please click the
Transcript Request Form
(PDF)
link, and print the form.
Complete all required fields, including payment information, and
return it to us via fax or mail using the contact information listed
on the bottom of the form. If mailing your request,
please be sure to include the payment with your form.
Delivery Guidelines
Certain institutions that utilize
transcripts, such as college admissions offices, require that
transcripts be mailed directly to them and refuse hand-carried
transcripts. Some also do not accept faxed transcripts.
Please be sure to check with the accepting institution to verify
whether or not they will accept such methods of delivery.
Processing Delays
Transcripts will NOT be
processed if there are existing Holds on the student's
account (i.e. financial holds, library holds, etc.). If there
are any outstanding holds the request and payment will be mailed
back to the student. We do not "hold on" to any requests.
Once the hold is removed the student will need to resend his or her
request.
