| Since the majority of issues addressed by the Office of
Counseling and Psychological Services tend to be short-term
in nature, the Office utilized the brief psychotherapy
model. However, in some instances, a student may be in need
of long-term, more intensive or specialized services. In
those cases, the Office offers referral services to the
appropriate care provider. This may necessitate a referral
to a private psychologist or psychiatrist, the local mental
health or drug/alcohol rehabilitation centers, a detox unit
or an in-patient hospital. For more information, stop
by the Office of Counseling and Psychological Services, Monday
through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or call 351-3213.
