Nursing students and faculty collected clothing, food and numerous supplies to assist three different organizations in Ohio and one in Kentucky.
They donated cleaning items, personal care items and some nonperishable foods to the Domestic Violence Shelter in Portsmouth; clothing and coats to The Dressing Room in Ashland, an organization that provides clothing items to individuals in need free of charge; non-perishable food and shoes to the Hopewell House, a food bank, in Minford; and coats to Edgewood for the residents in need there.
The Department of Nursing faculty and students have been collecting non-perishable foods and clothing every year at Christmastime for several years now to help those in need.
