Paralegal Club at Shawnee State University gives
The Paralegal Club at Shawnee State University has been
donating clothing and personal items on a continuous basis
to Stepping Stone House and for Thanksgiving they have
decided to go out into the schools to find families in need.
The club purchased enough food to prepare six Thanksgiving
dinners to families through the school system with 20-pound
turkeys and all the trimmings, such as potatoes, vegetables,
gravy, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and whipped topping. Each
year the club has a big event to raise funds for its
projects. The event is “Pie the Professor” and next year
they are planning to expand the event to challenge all
department heads. In the photo with boxes of food for
Thanksgiving dinners are from left, Mary Moore, club
president, Sharon Helton, public relations, and Stephanie
Taylor, vice president. |
