Veterans Recognized at Shawnee State University

              American Legion Post 363, of Lucasville, provided the Honor Guard and Color Guard at the 18th Annual Veteran’s Recognition Ceremony at Shawnee State University on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The ceremony was presented from noon to 12:30 p.m. with Master of Ceremonies Sam McKibben, WNXT Radio announcer, retired veteran and member of the Ohio Military Reserve. Dr. Paul Crabtree, SSU Interim Student Affairs Vice-President gave the opening welcome. Command Sgt. Major Verna Henderson of the 16th Engineer Brigade, Ohio Army National Guard, was the guest speaker. SSU student, Rick Bender, sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful.”.
