Shawnee State University prides itself in options for its students in academics, athletics, clubs and student life, and Greek life.
Currently, SSU is home to two sororities and one fraternity. In an effort to expand, a new fraternity, Phi Delta Theta based out of Oxford, Ohio, has contacted the university's director of Residence Life, Marcie Simms, stating that Shawnee is a "hidden treasure" in southern Ohio.
The fraternity is coming to view the campus, looking into chartering an active national fraternity chapter here at Shawnee State University. They will be spending the day, touring the university, and meeting with students.
