The Shawnee State University President's Club Roundtable on Thursday, Nov. 1 featured alumnus Jirawat Jeamvigite, 1994 SSU alumnus and senior designer at BMW Group Designworks USA in California.
He spoke to CADD classes during the day and presented at the President's Club Roundtable dinner in the evening.
After he graduated from SSU with an associate degree in Applied Science, Jeamvigite went to the Savannah College of Art & Design and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1998.
He has worked in industrial design for INNO in Atlanta and frog design in San Francisco. Since 2002, he has been with BMW Group Designworks USA, a global design consultancy that offers a unique suite of strategic design services to leading brands from around the world, including Starbucks, Hewlett-Packard, John Deere and the BMW Group.
Jeamvigite holds 20 U.S. patents, maintains a private art studio and he is cultivating an organic farm to provide food for orphan children in his homeland of Thailand.
