From the shores of Spain to the deserts of Morocco, Shawnee State University opens up a world of opportunity to students with its study abroad programs.
Rita Haider, director of Shawnee State's Center for International Programs and Activities, along with former and current exchange students, presented a student panel discussion on Tuesday evening, Oct. 11.
The panel allowed for questions from students interested in the international exchange programs that Shawnee State has to offer.
Among the panelists, Jon Phillips, a senior communications student, described his time in Morocco as an "invaluable and enriching experience."
Phillips, with the rest of the panel urged interested students that if they had a desire to study abroad, not to let money be the reason they pass up the opportunity. The panel discussed scholarships and resources that can help ease the cost of the trip.
