The Home for Aged Women Scholarship
awarded to two area students at Shawnee State University
The Shawnee State University Scholarship Committee awarded
two area students the 2009-10 Home for Aged Women
Scholarship of $200.
Recipient Teresa Soria, daughter of Maria Soria, of Jackson,
Ohio, in Jackson County, is a 2008 graduate of Jackson High
School and a returning SSU student. In high school she was a
member of the HI-Q, environmental clubs, symphonic and
marching band. Soria is pursuing a degree in radiological
technology and plans to further her education to become a
radiation therapist.
Recipient Kayla Bocook, daughter of Marci Storms, of
Jackson, Ohio, in Jackson County, is a 2008 graduate of
Wellston High School. In high school she was a member of
FCCLA and a mentor. She is pursuing a degree in Radiology
and would like to work in a hospital in her hometown.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the SSU
Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations
