for Aged Women Scholarship awarded to Trisha Near at Shawnee
State University
The Shawnee State University Scholarship Committee awarded
Trisha Near the 2009-10 Home for Aged Women Scholarship of
$200.
Recipient Trisha Near, daughter of Michael and Sheri Near,
of Circleville, Ohio, in Pickaway County, is a 2007 graduate
of Westfall High School and a returning SSU student. In high
school she was a member of the volleyball team, Big Sisters,
Head Start mentor, Student Council, SSU Honors Club and the
National Honor Society. She is currently a member of Phi Eta Sigma and has been named on the Dean’s List. She is pursuing
a degree in dental hygiene and wants to eventually get her
dental degree.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the SSU
Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations
