            Both on-campus and off-campus jobs will be offered at the second annual Part-Time Job Fair for students from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17 in conjunction with Student Activities Welcome Week, the first week of the Fall Semester that begins on Monday, Aug. 16.
            The Office of Career Services at SSU is sponsoring the job fair that will take place in the Sodexo Ballroom at the University Center.
            “It is a great opportunity for local employers and on-campus departments to have face-to-face conversations with potential employees,” said Stephen Gregory, director of Career Services at SSU. “It is also a tremendous opportunity for our students to locate jobs just as the semester is starting. This is so important to our students who are trying to improve their lives through education.”
            Last year, more than 800 students attended the job fair and many received job offers. Employers were impressed and overwhelmed at the turnout and the excitement of the students who were anxious to work.
            Employers in food service, medical care, retail and various on-campus offices will be available to discuss potential positions with students at SSU. Hundreds of students will be on campus that day.
