Shawnee State University Education Class
Visits Ohio Youth Service center in Franklin Furnace
A Shawnee State University education class visited the Ohio
Youth Service (OYS) center in Franklin Furnace on April 14.
OYS is one of SSU’s education program service learning
sites. Students are required to spend 20 hours at their
chosen site as part of the course requirement. This visit
was a wrap-up activity for the class as they decided to have
a group meeting to share their service learning face to face
with the youth and open it to all of the other students
enrolled in the class.
