Children from Shawnee State University's Dr. Miller and Genevieve Toombs Children's Learning Center sing and play at one of seven stations set up at the annual Children's Fair at the university on Thursday, April 14 during Week of the Young Child.
Cirque d' Art, music, puppets, parachute play, chalk walk, a sensory station and an obstacle course entertained 310 children at the fair. Student and faculty volunteers from Teacher Education, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, SSU Women's Basketball and the Children's Learning Center worked the different stations set up in SSU's Rhodes Athletic Center, Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium.
MRDD, South Central Ohio Educational Service Center, Cirque d' Art, Children's Services, Head Start, Portsmouth Public Library Youth Division, SSU and the Children's Learning Center sponsored the event. Kroger and Sodexo supplied snacks for the children.
