Shawnee State University has received a donation of $75,000 from James Blair, of Waverly, Ohio, in memory of his wife, Mabel Blair.
The Blairs established the James and Mabel Blair scholarship in 2006 to allow and encourage Pike County students to pursue a degree and remain in college through graduation. Many Pike County students have benefited from the scholarship over the years.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the SSU Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations interested in establishing a scholarship can call the SSU Development Foundation at (740) 351-3284.
