Shawnee State University Announces B-WISER Award Winners
for the 20th Annual District 14 Science Day
On March 27, Shawnee State University hosted the 20th Annual
District 14 Science Day. Three seventh-grade girls received
awards from the Buckeye Women in Science, Engineering and
Research Institute (B-WISER) to go to camp to enhance girls’
interest in science and research. The B-WISER Awards were
presented to (left to right) winner Makenzie Moorman,
alternate Abby Crothers and winner Allison Raies. Not
pictured is winner Emily Conzett. The winners each received
a $100 scholarship to attend the B-WISER Science Camp at
Wooster College. If any of the students are unable to attend
the camp, Crothers will be going as alternate winner.
